Dr. Banner,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Commander Shepard, and I was an arrival to the Moira a little more than 2 months ago. We haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person, but I wanted to send you a note to express my deep appreciation towards your letter of introduction to all incoming crew members.

Reading it answered a lot of my immediate questions, and helped me to orientate myself a lot faster than I would have otherwise. I know it must have taken some time and effort to put together, as well as some candid thought to include yourself as a threat. You truly have my gratitude, and no doubt the gratitude of every other new arrival in part.

[ The text might seem to come out of nowhere, and to some extent, it's exactly that. Snake may not know Bruce that well, but he's aware of his role in what happened on Caducus Primary. That particular tragedy had been fresh when Snake first arrived on the Moira, so he'd heard a lot about it. He's not sure if some of the newer arrivals would be aware, but it's impossible not to think of Bruce now that this has come to bite them in the ass.

Again, Snake may not know Bruce well enough to have any idea of how he'll react to this turn of events, but regardless of what kind of person he is, the result can't be good.

Hence the unexpected check-in. ]
